Welcome to Citizen Science Sundays - a free, hands-on program where visitors of all ages can take part in real scientific research. Held one Sunday a month from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, before the museum halls open to the public, these sessions spotlight a unique citizen science project each week. Guests can explore new tools, contribute data, and connect with both local and global scientific efforts.

Good vs Bad AI
Sunday, February 22nd • 9am-10am
Stay warm during Citizen Science Sunday this February by learning the difference between Generative and Traditional AI with guest speaker, Sarah Layton. Afterwards, we’ll explore a variety of at-home citizen science programs using fun games to train Traditional AI models for medicine, ecology, and evolutionary biology. Bring your own tablets and laptops to play these game-ified programs on your own, or join in playing one on the big screen together.
